Introducing Craftworks

Hands-on CPD workshops

When Aristotle said “For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them” he was clearly talking about Craftworks – the hands-on CPD concept devised by Manchester Society of Architects.

In October 2017, we ran a session for Manchester Architects members at Manchester School of Architecture, in which they assembled a VELUX Modular Skylight. Watch the videos in the next few pages to see how they got on.

About Manchester Architects
Established over 150 years ago, Manchester Society of Architects (known as Manchester Architects) represents one of the UK’s largest professional communities. Their aim is to champion the achievements and nurture the talents of current and future architects in the north west of England. Council member, Johnathan Djabarouti, came up with the Craftworks concept – which has been a huge success in the city.
